In January, I made a spur of the moment decision and I flew to Seattle, Washington to see the Andrew Wyeth 100 year retrospective exhibit at the Seattle Museum of Art, just days before it closed. Too important an exhibit to miss, so off I went. It was an extraordinary exhibition and I burned the whole afternoon there. I managed to fit in a morning visit to the Chihuly Gardens before flying home.
I returned to the Art Center campus and enjoyed a memorable month of February with the arrival of two short-term artist in residence. Rogene Manas and Sara Post arrived and joined Linda Ryan and I in the fine arts department. The four of us had a month of wonderful camaraderie, peer reviews, and play time in each others studios.
